Today we melted a padlock with a blow torch in less than three minutes. It was easy. The Master lock padlock casing was made out of brass which melts at approximately 1700 degrees Fahrenheit. The flame on our basic blow torch produces a max temperature of 1900 degrees Fahrenheit.
